Synopsis and Features
The game follows the footsteps of Jack Rourke. He is the best driver you have ever heard about, but his arrogance leads him to a debt he can’t repay. The mob is angry and now wants it money back. In Sam Harper he finds a woman with ambition, street smarts, and a penchant for fast cars. Jack needs her help and that is when she suggests Jack to look into The Run- a one-time event where the winner gets to take home $25 million.
Developed by EA Black Box and published by Electronic Arts, The Run promises a grand racing experience. The game requires a set of minimum hardware to run smoothly on your machine. These are Windows Vista SP2, a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD equivalent processor, 18 GB hard disk space, 3 GB RAM and a 512 MB RAM ATI Radeon 4870 graphics card. The game’s single-player campaign has 3000 miles of road to explore, making it the biggest game in the NFS series. The NFS game features an Autolog. This is a great help as you manage your friends and compare your best racing times from players across the world. The stats get updated by-the-second, helping you to improve your skills every time you play the game.
The game’s online multiplayer is interesting as up to 8 players can participate in a single online match. If you are pitted against someone in an online match and if the race has already begun, you need not wait as you can join the race while it’s in progress. The multiplayer matches have different game types, such as Supercar Challenge, NFS Edition Racing, The Underground, Mixed Competition, Exotic Sprint, and Muscle Car Battles. You can win random awards and rewards within the game by playing The Bonus Wheel.
